HXD2B electric locomotive control and monitoring system
1. Main functions of Type HXD2B locomotive TCMS:
Operation and management of operating and maintenance commands;
Operation and control for locomotive double heading;
Control and management of passing neutral section;
Control and management of main/auxiliary air compressors;
Management of sanding and flange lubricator operation;
Fire detection and alarm management;
Ventilation control and management for machinery rooms;
A/C unit interface management;
Locomotive subsystem detection and control;
Date/time and operation counter management;
Test and maintenance mode management;
Display unit and MMI operation management;
Repair help.
2. Functions and structure characteristics of main processor unit(MPU)
MPUs are the main processor units of TCMS;
Information is exchanged between train/rolling stock and smart devices via FIP networks;
MPUs receive and process traction/braking command from TCMS as well as field messages;
Hot standby 1+1 redundancy.Standby MPU will take over control in case the main MPU fails;
Two identical MPUs are mounted inside system cabinets;
A complete set of 3U plug-in boards(14 boards) are provided;
Series AGATE LINK 2 standard electronic products are manufactured by ALSTOM;
Standard 3U-21 racks and Easy PlugTM technique are incorporated;
EN 50155-compliant,etc.
3. Function and Structure Characteristics of Remote I/O Module-RIOM
RIOMs are used to acquire,exchange and process field messages;
RIOMs exchange data woth MPUs or ACUs via FIP or MVB bus;
RIOMs are equipped with diodes or gate arrays and able to read/control LV I/O;
Hot standby 1+1 redundancy.Standby RIOM will take over the function of main RIOM in case the main RIOM fails.
Two identical RIOM modules are mounted inside system cabinets;
A complete set of 3U dedicated plug-in boards(16 boards) are provided;
Series AGATE LINK 3X standard electronic products are manufactured by ALSTOM;
Standard 3U-21 racks and Easy PlugTM technique are incorporated;
EN 50155-compliant,etc.
4. Functions and structure characteristics of traction control unit(TCU)
TCUs control and manage AC traction power supply systems-rectifier PMCF and inverter ONIX,and achieve control upon traction motors;
TCUs exchange data with MPUs via FIP bus;
TCUs adopt DSP application technique and have such ability as rapid computation and real-time processing;
"Axle control" traction mode is adopted,6 TCUs control and drive 6 sets of AC traction devices respectively and therefore drive 6 sets of traction motors;
Two TCUs are mounted inside each AC traction cabinet(3 cabinets in total);
A complete set of 3U dedicated plug-in boards(15 boards) are provided;
Series AGATE 3X standard electronic products are manufactured by ALSTOM;
Standard 6U-21 racks and Easy PlugTM technique are incorporated;
EN 50155-compliant,etc.
5. Functions and structure characteristics of auxiliary control unit(ACU)
ACUs control and manage auxiliary choppers and battery chargers,etc;
ACUs exchange data with RIOMs via MVB bus;
DSP,FPGA and other application techniques are incorporated;
Hot standby 1+1 redundancy.Standby ACU will take over control in case the main ACU fails;
Two identical ACU modules are mounted inside auxiliary AC cabinets;
A board combination structure consisting of 1 motherboard and 2 carrier boards are used;
Series AGATE AUX3 standard electronic products are manufactured by ALSTOM;
EN 50155-compliant,etc.
6. Functions and structure characteristics of ariver display unit(DDU)
DDUs are used to display operating states and fault message of locomotives and equipments;
DDUs exchage data with MPUs via FIP network;
Commands may be executed using keyboards;
Information about locomotive operation and faults are downloaded via USB ports;
Two identical DDUs,one main DDU and one auxiliary DDU,are mounted on a driver' s control board;
The main DDU is used to display traction and operating information and the auxiliary DDU is used to display fault and repair information;
Hot standby 1+1 redundancy.Standby DDU will take over control in case the main DDU fails;
Split structure-A DDU is composed of a LCD(10.4”) module and a CPU module;
The CPU is Series AGATE MMI-400 standard electronic products manufactured by ALSTOM;
DDUs are equipped with FIP,USB,EtherNet,RS485 and RS232 interfaces,etc.
